Official name badges will be required for admission to all sessions.
All attendees should pick up their nominative badge at the welcome desk (3rd floor of the Arnoma hotel) and badges should be worn at all
time during the conferences and social events (access to the conférences and social events on a checklist).

On site, registrations for additional session or social events are closed (gala dinner, contouring session...).

Language: The national language of Thailand is Thai. English is widely understood in Bangkok, other big cities and tourist areas.  The official language of the Congress is English.

Climate: The average temperature range for Bangkok, Thailand in June is 27°C-35°C or 81°F-95°F.  Daily temperatures can reach above 38°C or 100°F with humidity averaging 80%.

Local calls: All telephone numbers for local calls, long distance calls within the country and mobile phones have nine digits, starting with 0.

For Bangkok calls: dial 0 + 2 + numbers, e.g. 0 2250 5500.
For provincial calls: dial  area code + numbers, e.g. 0 5323 6400 for Chiang Mai (053 is the area code for Chiang Mai); 0 7623 6400 for Phuket (076 is the area code for Phuket).

International calls : The international dialing code for Thailand is 66.  To directly dial a foreign number from a private phone, dial 001 + country code + area code + telephone number.

Business hours: Government offices open from 08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.  Banking hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:30.  Most business offices open from 08:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday. Some are also open on Saturday

Visas: Generally, a foreign citizen who wishes to enter the Kingdom of Thailand is required to obtain a visa from a Royal Thai Embassy or a Royal Thai Consulate-General. However, nationals of certain countries do not require a visa or can apply for a visa on arrival. A full list and further details are available by clicking here.

Liability and Insurance: The Congress Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Currency: The official currency of Thailand is the Thai baht.  Coins are found in denominations 1, 2, 5 and 10 bahts.  Every baht is divided into 100 satangs and there are also coins of 50 and 25 satangs.  Banknotes consist of 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 Thai bahts.

Recommended Clothing: Participants are advised to wear business casual for all Congress functions and programs.  Light, cool clothes are highly recommended. Thin cotton is the best.

Water: Drink only bottled or boiled water.

Electricity: the electricity in Thailand is 220 volts, 50 cycles/sec.
